According to the Public Relations Department of Shokri Industrial Group, as part of the implementation of joint cooperation agreements between Shokri Industrial Group and universities in Kermanshah Province, a group of students from Razi University, the University of Technology, Islamic Azad University, and Farhangian University visited the Shokri Industrial Group complex on Saturday, May 31, 2025. The visit was organized in collaboration with the Office of the Supreme Leader’s Representative in Universities.
The purpose of this visit was to familiarize students with the steel production process and various steel sections, as well as to provide direct exposure to real industrial environments and production lines. A number of faculty members from technical and engineering disciplines also participated in the program, accompanying the students and engaging in discussions on expanding scientific and research collaborations between industry and academia.
Key points raised during this visit included proposals to support graduate theses related to the steel industry and to establish frameworks for defining joint research projects between university faculty and Shokri Industrial Group. Additionally, given the presence of professors from the electrical and electronics disciplines, the issue of energy imbalance in the steel industry and the importance of optimizing electricity consumption in production lines were discussed. In this context, the attending professors proposed research initiatives to evaluate the performance of motors and electronic equipment used in production lines, which could serve as collaborative projects aimed at reducing energy consumption and alleviating the load on the national power grid.
At the conclusion of the visit, the management of Shokri Industrial Group warmly welcomed the scientific proposals presented and announced that, should these projects prove effective and feasible, their results will be disseminated to other manufacturing and industrial units across the country through specialized associations and unions, enabling the national steel industry to benefit from the achievements of these scientific collaborations.
