The 6th National Festival and Exhibition of Iran’s Steel Industry commenced with the participation of prominent figures in the steel sector.

The 6th National Festival and Exhibition of Iran’s Steel Industry was inaugurated from January 7 to 9, 2025, at Milad Tower in Tehran. This major event was held in the presence of the Minister of Industry, Mine, and Trade, Mr. Seyed Mohammad Atabak, along with some of the most prominent companies and influential figures in Iran’s steel sector. It provided a valuable opportunity for exchanging experiences and showcasing the latest achievements in the industry.

At the opening ceremony of the festival, the Minister of Industry, Mine, and Trade, Seyed Mohammad Atabak, highlighted the remarkable progress of Iran’s steel industry, stating: “Iran’s steel sector is on a path of growth and prosperity, and channeling idle capital into this industry can pave the way for the country’s economic development.” He also emphasized that the steel industry, as one of Iran’s national prides, holds great potential for meeting domestic demands and expanding into export markets.

he said: “Given its existing capacities and domestic capabilities, Iran’s steel industry can play a key role in the country’s economic development. If this sector operates at full capacity, it will not only meet domestic needs but also be capable of competing in global markets and expanding exports.”

The Minister of Industry went on to highlight the government’s initiatives aimed at “popularizing the mining sector” and achieving the goals set out in the Seventh Development Plan. He added: “These initiatives can not only boost production and employment but also contribute to the sustainable development of the steel industry and other mining sectors across the country.”

The 6th National Festival and Exhibition of Iran’s Steel Industry hosted many of the country’s major companies active in the steel and mining sectors. Leading iron and steel producers such as Esfahan Steel Company, Mobarakeh Steel Company, Khorasan Steel Complex, Khuzestan Steel Company, Iran Alloy Steel Company, and Ghadir International Industries and Mines Development Company were among the key participants in this exhibition.

One of the key highlights of this edition of the exhibition was the presence of JAHAN SANAT KERMANSHAH known as JSK STEEL Company, which showcased its achievements in steel industry conversion, machinery manufacturing, and reverse engineering, attracting significant attention from professionals in the steel industry.

During this event, several new achievements in the steel industry were unveiled. Among these were the launch of the new version of the “National Steel Atlas of Iran” and the “CarLink” system, which will play a significant role in facilitating communication among steel industry professionals and creating new opportunities for collaboration.

A special part of this festival was the awarding of the “National Steel Award Trophy of Iran” to the industry’s top achievers. During the ceremony, influential figures and leading companies in the steel industry were honored.

Among them, Mr. Sajadi Shiri, the manager of the sponge iron plant at the Bisotoun Steel Complex, was recognized as one of the influential figures in the country’s steel industry

Simultaneously with the festival, the “National Open Innovation Event in Iran’s Steel Industry” was held on January 9, 2025, at Milad Tower in Tehran. At this conference, four development-oriented managers and technologists from the steel industry delivered speeches. One of the prominent speakers was Mr. Jahandar Shokri, CEO of Bisotoun Steel Company, who shared his experiences and insights on innovation and modern technologies in the steel industry, engaging in discussions and exchanges of ideas

The closing ceremony of the 6th National Steel Festival and Exhibition of Iran was held on Thursday, January 10, 2025. During the event, knowledge-based companies and selected manufacturers in the iron and steel supply chain were honored. These honors were presented as a symbol of effective collaboration between the steel industry and the country’s scientific and research sectors, awarded to companies and individuals who contributed to advancing knowledge and technologies in the steel industry.
